One app for the three jobs that eat your evenings

Mileage logbook

Trips are recorded by your phone's GPS. Compare cents per km with the logbook method and download your trip log as CSV.

Receipts and expenses

Photograph a receipt or upload a PDF. We read the supplier, date, total and GST. You check it before it counts.

Tax invoices and GST

Send tax invoices by email with a PDF, work out GST on each one and see who has paid.

How it works

  1. Install and sign in

Use your email. No password to remember. Add your car and, if you have one, your ABN.

  2. Drive, snap, invoice

Trips record in the background. Photograph receipts as you go. Create invoices on the web or phone.

  3. Export at tax time

Download your trip log as CSV and your invoices as PDF, or export all your records as a zip. Send them to your accountant.

How Kestly works, step by step

Two ways to claim car expenses. We keep both ready.

Short answer
Sole traders can claim work use of a car with the cents per kilometre method (up to 5,000 business km per car a year) or the logbook method (actual costs for the business-use share). For 2026–27 the cents per kilometre rate is 91 cents.
